The commission collects data from every federal case sentenced under the guidelines and publishes it through its annual Sourcebook of Federal Sentencing Statistics and its Interactive Data Analyzer, an online tool for exploring, filtering and visualizing sentencing data by judicial district, circuit, state, offense type and demographics. It’s a good source for questions about disparities in federal sentencing and how individual districts compare with national averages.
