Launched in 2019, this FBI collection gathers voluntarily reported data from law enforcement agencies on use-of-force incidents resulting in death or serious injury, or in which an officer discharges a firearm. It offers an aggregate national picture of the circumstances, subjects and officers involved, though full incident counts are released only once agency participation reaches 80% of the national law enforcement population.
