The Washington Post has a public database tracking every person shot and killed by an on-duty police officer in the United States from Jan. 1, 2015 through Dec. 31, 2024. It has details about victims’ race, age, gender, policy agency name, circumstances of the shooting, whether the person was armed and whether the person was experiencing a mental health crisis. A GitHub repository with the raw data is also available.
