The Washington Post has a public database tracking every person shot and killed by an on-duty police officer in the United States between Jan. 1, 2015 and Dec. 31, 2024. It has details about victims’ race, age, gender, policy agency name, circumstances of the shooting, whether the person was armed and whether the person was experiencing a mental health crisis. A GitHub repository with the raw data is also available.
